A vegetarian patty is a veg burger patty. These patties contain a range of components, including veggies and grains. Vegetarians and vegans enjoy burger patties made from vegetables. Ingredients
- Sweet corn – 2 tbsp.
- Peas/matar – 2 tbsp.
- Salt – ½ tsp
- Salt (for steam veggie) – 1/4 tsp
- Potato/aloo (boiled & grated) – 4
- Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Red chili powder – ½ tsp
- Chaat masala – ¼ tbsp.
- Coriander (finely chopped) – 2 tbsp.
- Bread crumbs – ¼ cup
- Oil (for frying)
- Corn flour (optional) – 2 tbsp.
- Maida/All purpose flour – ¼ cup
- Water – ½ cup
Cooking Instructions
- To begin, take 2 tablespoons of sweet corn, 2 tablespoons of peas, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Simmer for 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Pour the steamed veggies into a large mixing bowl.
- Add 3 cooked and mashed potatoes as well.
- Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon of chaat masala, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of coriander to thoroughly combine all the spices.
- Finally, add 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs and stir thoroughly. Breadcrumbs aid in the absorption of moisture from the mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of corn flour, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, and 1/2 cup of water to make a slurry.
- Form into ball-sized patties and coat with maida or all-purpose flour slurry. Even coat with breadcrumbs.
- Keep the flame on medium when shallow frying in hot oil.
- Fry on both sides until golden brown. Drain well and set aside.
