Delicious Hara Bhara Kebab

Ingredients

  1. Spinach – 2 cups (boiled)
  2. Green peas – 1 cup (boiled and mashed)
  3. Boiled potatoes – 2 medium-sized (mashed)
  4. Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  5. Green chilies – 2 (finely chopped)
  6. Ginger – 1 tsp (grated)
  7. Gram flour (besan) – 3 tbsp
  8. Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
  9. Salt – as per your health
  10. Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  11. Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
  12. Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  13. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  14. Oil – for frying

Cooking Instructions

  1. Spinach by boiling it for a minute and immediately transferring it to cold water. Squeeze out excess water and finely chop it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, boiled and mashed green peas, mashed potatoes, finely chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, and grated ginger.
  3. Now, you need to roast the gram flour (besan) on low heat.
  4. Add roasted gram flour, bread crumbs, salt, garam masala, chaat masala, cumin powder, and lemon juice to the mixture.
  5. Mix everything well to form a soft dough-like consistency.
  6. Grease your hands with a little oil and shape the mixture into small round kebabs or tikkis.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry the kebabs on medium flame until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  8. Remove the kebabs and place them on a paper towel/tissue paper to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or tomato ketchup.
