Ingredients
- Cottage Cheese – 200 gm (cut in cubes)
- Chopped/Grated Carrot – 1 or 2
- Sliced Tomatoes – 3 (Medium size)
- Sliced Capsicum – 2
- Sliced Onion – 1
- Veg. Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp.
- Salt – As per your taste
- Black Pepper – 1/2 tbsp.
- Red Pepper – 1/2 tbsp.
- Maggie Masala (spice) – 1 tbsp.
- Chopped Coriander – 2 tbsp.
- For the Chapati, or Wraps
- Whole Wheat / All purpose flour – 2 cups
- Salt – As per your taste
- Oil – 1 tsp.
- Water as needed
Cooking Instructions
- To make the chapati or wrap, combine the whole wheat flour, salt, and oil in a mixing bowl.
- Gradually add water and knead the dough until it becomes soft and smooth. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8-10 equal-sized balls.
- Heat a tawa or non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Roll out each ball into a thin, round chapati or wrap. If the dough sticks to the rolling surface, use a little flour to dust it.
- Place the rolled-out chapati or wrap on the hot tawa or pan.
- Cook for a minute on one side or until small bubbles start to form on the surface.
- Flip the chapati or wrap and cook for another 30 seconds or until small brown spots appear on the surface.
- Remove the chapati or wrap from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining balls.
- For the cottage cheese (paneer) wrap filling, heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the cottage cheese (paneer) cubes and fry until they turn golden brown. Remove from pan and keep aside.
- In the same pan, add a little more oil and sauté the sliced onion until they turn translucent.
- Add the sliced capsicum and grated carrot to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the sliced tomato and sauté for another minute.
- Add the fried cottage cheese (paneer) cubes to the pan and mix well.
- Add the salt, 1 tsp. turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp. red pepper powder, 1/2 tsp. black pepper powder, and Maggie masala (if using) to the pan and mix well.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After that, add the 2 tbsp. mayonnaise in the cottage cheese (paneer) filling.
- Warm the chapatis or wraps in a separate pan or microwave.
- Place a generous amount of the paneer and vegetable mixture in the center of each chapati or wrap.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Roll the chapati or wrap tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Cut in half and serve hot.
