Ingredients
- Spinach – 2 cups (boiled)
- Green peas – 1 cup (boiled and mashed)
- Boiled potatoes – 2 medium-sized (mashed)
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Green chilies – 2 (finely chopped)
- Ginger – 1 tsp (grated)
- Gram flour (besan) – 3 tbsp
- Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
- Salt – as per your health
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Oil – for frying
Cooking Instructions
- Spinach by boiling it for a minute and immediately transferring it to cold water. Squeeze out excess water and finely chop it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, boiled and mashed green peas, mashed potatoes, finely chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, and grated ginger.
- Now, you need to roast the gram flour (besan) on low heat.
- Add roasted gram flour, bread crumbs, salt, garam masala, chaat masala, cumin powder, and lemon juice to the mixture.
- Mix everything well to form a soft dough-like consistency.
- Grease your hands with a little oil and shape the mixture into small round kebabs or tikkis.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the kebabs on medium flame until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Remove the kebabs and place them on a paper towel/tissue paper to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or tomato ketchup.
