Creamy White Sauce Pasta

Ingredients

  1. Pasta – 400 gm
  2. Bell pepper – 1 medium-sized
  3. Capsicum – 1 medium-sized
  4. Sweet corn – 150 gm
  5. Broccoli – 180 gm
  6. Oregano – 3 tbsp
  7. Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
  8. Sugar – 3 tbsp
  9. Salt – 1 tsp
  10. All-purpose flour – 3 tbsp
  11. Butter – 4 tbsp
  12. Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp
  13. Milk – 300 gm

Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat water in a deep pan. Once it starts boiling, add 1/2 tsp salt and pasta. Cook until soft, then drain and set aside.
  2. Chop the bell pepper, capsicum, and broccoli into desired shapes.
  3. Boil the chopped vegetables until they are 80% cooked, then drain them.
  4. In a pressure cooker, add sweet corn and cook for 2 whistles. Set aside.
  5. In a pan or kadhai, melt butter over low heat.
  6. Add all-purpose flour to the melted butter and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  7. Slowly add milk while stirring to make a smooth white sauce.
  8. Keep stirring to ensure the sauce is lump-free. Add sugar and salt, then mix well.
  9. Cook the sauce on low flame until it thickens. Then, add the boiled vegetables, oregano, and chili flakes, and mix well.
  10. Add the boiled pasta and stir for 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined.
  11. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and serve hot.
